ABOUT ME |
My Profile
I am a senior at South Forsyth High School. A few of my favorite hobbies include playing flag football, listening to music, and hanging out with friends occasionally. I have one younger sister and I was born in Morristown, New Jersey (No one had heard of this place but people such as Peter Dinklage were also born here). I have had a job every summer since I was 15 years old. My primary reason to get an internship was to explore this background, but what I didn't realize was that I was actually taking vitals and getting hands on experience. I worked as a student shadowing at Cornerstone Family Medicine. It was then that I discovered what I wanted to do for my career. I decided I would to go to college and focus on becoming a doctor.

My Mentorship
I learned to take vitals while shadowing Dr. Finley at Cornerstone Family Medicine as well as taking urine samples. I learned how to take blood samples as well as stitching (both on an orange not on an actual human being). I also had the opportunity to learned bedside manner, while learning to approach new people in a friendly manner. As a introverted student, I never approached many people but through this experience I learned to communicate.
My Future
In my future, I hope to go to medical school and learn these general medical skills while retaining communication skills. I have currently been accepted into Georgia Institute of Technology and University of Georgia's Honors Program. Goals after college is to go to NYU for medical school. I aspire to be like Dr. Finley and I will continue to ask for advice from Dr.Finley after I go to college and come out as a physician.
